DESCRIPTION
The valves of type DBVE_K6_/DGL are 2/2-way pilot
operated cartridge pressure relief valves designed in
accordance with ISO 7368. The valves are designed for
operating in hydraulic systems using mineral oil-based
fluids.
The safety valves fulfil the requirements of directive
2014/68/EU (Pressure Equipment Directive) mandatory
to protect pressure equipment being also covered by the
Pressure Equipment Directive like hydraulic accumulators.
Due to its very flat pressure relief characteristic, the
design allows very high admissible flows of up to
1,500 l/min (400 gpm).
The valves are available with two different poppet types:
AO and EX. The differences are as follows:
Shaft seal: While poppet AO utilizes no shaft seal, poppet
EX offers a shaft seal preventing the valve from any
internal leakage.
Control area ratio: Poppet AO features a control area ratio
of 1:1 meaning that opening and closing control surfaces
are equally sized. Poppet EX features a control area ratio
of 1:1.07 meaning that the closing control surface is
7 % bigger than the opening control surface leading to
an earlier pre-opening (opening of the pilot stage) of the
valve compared with poppet AO.
